Obituary: Madelyn "Dianne" Combs Lambert, age 67, of Kannapolis was called home by her Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2018, after a period of declining health. Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, December 26 at Whitley's funeral Chapel, with Rev. Adam Love officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. Dianne was born December 2, 1951, in Cabarrus Co., a daughter of the late Tommy and Sarah Bullard Combs. In addition to her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil "Wayne" Lambert and her brother, Thomas "Mike" Combs. Dianne was a lifelong area resident and graduated from A. L. Brown High School. In earlier years, she worked for Cannon Mills and later for Walmart, but was happiest working at being a home-maker for her family. Dianne was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed watching preaching and worshipping services on the TV. She loved the Carolina Panthers, the beach, cakes from the Party House and watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Dianne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her sister Debbie was her best friend and care-giver. Dianne will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughters; Lori White (Richie) and Amy Lambert, both of Salisbury and Ashley Pearson (Hunter) of Rockwell, her grandchildren; Andy Nichols (Stefanie), Chandler Honeycutt, Sarah White, Madison Lambert, Makayla Lambert and Raelyn Pearson, her great-grandchildren; Breighlee Durham and Adella Nichols, her sister, Debbie Robinson (David) of Kannapolis, her nieces, Tisha Beaver, Lisa Beaver (Isaac) and Amanda Combs, her grandnieces and nephews Noah Ferguson (Kamryn), Luke Ferguson, Riley Ferguson and Caleb Ingram, Emma Parker, Ben Parker and Eli Parker and her 2 special aunts, Linda Stewart and Shirley Miller. The Lambert family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. Douglas Kelling and Dr. John Gerig for all the care shown to Dianne during her time in their care.
