Obituary: Madelyne Marie Cook, 22, passed away Sunday evening, September 24, 2017 at CHS-Northeast Medical Center. Born January 6, 1995 in Mooresville, She was a daughter of Michael Anthony Cook and Jacqueline Lynn Steffen Cook. Madelyne was employed at the Smoke Pit in Salisbury, which she greatly enjoyed. A good hearted, joyful and loving young lady, Madelyne never met a stranger. She loved all of her family, and her cat, Snowball. Gone too soon, Madelyne will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved her. Family members left with cherished memories include her father, Michael Cook; her mother, Jackie Steffen Cook (Mike Halvorson); her sister, Stephanie Cook Springer and husband, Josh; her paternal grandparents Dale and Anne Cook; her uncles; James Steffen (Elizabeth) and Larry Cook (Cindy); nephew, Michael Springer, and extended family members. To remember and celebrate Madelyne's life, the family will receive friends Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis.
