Maizie Hubbard Sharpe

Obituary: Maizie Hubbard Sharpe, 80 of Davidson died Friday April 29, 2011 at Avante in Concord following a brief illness. She was born January 26, 1931 in Mecklenburg County, NC. a daughter of the late Spencer B. and Ruby Green Hubbard. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Marti Ellis, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Mrs. Sharpe retired in 1993 from Baxter Scientific Products where she was a computer operator for 20 years. She enjoyed horses and traveling. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Carol Hassell officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Plaza Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Whitley's Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband, Harvey E. Sharpe of the home, 2 sons; Daniel C. Sharpe (Donna) of Statesville and Randy E. Sharp (Earlene) of Denver, a daughter, Cindy A. Roberson (Leonard) of Concord, 2 sisters, Lois Black of Charlotte and Judy Earnhardt of Mooresville, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
