Margaret Robertson Rushing Aldridge

Obituary: Margaret Rhyne Robertson Rushing Aldridge, 87 of Kannapolis went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 22, 2018 after an extended illness. Born March 12, 1930 in Mooresville to the late Lee John and Darina Catherine Robertson she was born 12th in the family of 14 siblings. She was a 1949 graduate of Mooresville High School. Margaret was involved many years in church ministry. With her 1st husband Floyd, they pioneered a church in Greenville, SC. Many years after his death she found new ministry with her 2nd husband a retired minister in Concord, NC. Left to treasure her memory is her husband retired Rev L.D. Aldridge of Concord, daughter Stephanie (Sean) Rushing Webster of Kannapolis, her grandchildren Hailey and Allen Rushing and Mackenzie Webster all of Kannapolis. Also surviving her are many nieces and nephews from her 13 siblings whom she cherished. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Rev. Floyd Parker Rushing, son Jonathan Scott Rushing, her parents, 7 brothers and 6 sisters. The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 pm Sunday, March 4th at Harvest Community Church, 4284 Orphanage Rd, Concord, NC with a Celebration of Life service immediately following visitation. The family is being served by Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis.
