Obituary: Margaret "Frances" Hopper Carey passed away May 4,2013,in St. Augustine,FL She was 91 years old. She was born in Forest City, NC in 1921, moved to Jacksonville,FL in 1957. She was married to Winston "Jim" Carey who preceded her in death in 2006. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:00 PM Thursday at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis, NC. She is survived by her Daughter Barbara Horton (Edward) granddaughter Karen Stevens (Terry) Great Granddaughter Amanda Cameron (Matthew) Great Grandson Justin, and 2 Great Great Granddaughters Kendra Cameron and Allie Pfeiffer, brother James Hopper and sister Frieda McByer,and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, she loved her church family at Garden City United Methodist (Jacksonville,Fl.). She always did for others, she had a kind soul and loving heart for everyone, she was the peace maker and care taker of the family, she will be truly missed.
