Margaret E. Garrell

Obituary: - Margaret Edwards (Maggie) Garrell, age 92, formerly of 200 Bishop Lane, Apt. #208, Concord, NC, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Community Hospice, Jacksonville, Florida after a period of declining health. She was born June 25, 1918 in Brunswick County, NC, the daughter of the late Alexander Tray Edwards and Etta Bennett Edwards. She was a homemaker for most of her life. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Larry Garrell. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Plaza Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include her children, Mitchell W. (Mickey) Watts & wife, Linda, Louise Watts Beale & husband, James, Jerry Garrell, Katherine Garrell Carter, and Elizabeth Garrell Payne & husband, Robert; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
