Margaret Leazer Ketner

Obituary: - Margaret Leazer Bost Ketner, age 95, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Ann Gibson after a brief illness. She was born May 18, 1918 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late John Leazer and Annie Pearl Leazer. Margaret was a homemaker. She was an active member of West A Tabernacle Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC. Her family fondly remembers her having a beautiful life, being a good Christian mother, and whoever she met fell in love with her. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Ketner who died September 4, 1997; one son, Ronald Bost; a daugher, Betty Sue Bost; three brothers, Marvin Leazer, Charles Leazer, and Clint Leazer; and one sister, Myrtle Hart. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Chris Pethel, Rev. Keith Bost, and Rev. Rodney Efird. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, March 31, 2014. The remainder of the time the family will be at the home of a granddaughter, Lisa Efird in Kannapolis, NC. Survivors include three sons, Walter Bost & wife, Ann, Billy Bost, and George Bost; three daughters, Ann Gibson & husband, Randy, Hazel Hendrix & husband, Charles, and Judy Pless & husband, Gary; 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Mae Leazer and Nell Leazer Shank.
