Margaret Diane Lee

Obituary: Margaret Diane Griffin Lee, 72, of Kannapolis passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Tucker Hospice House. She was born January 20, 1942 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Robert Blair Griffin and Naomi Beleau Godfrey Griffin. She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Wilcox. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church. She loved to paint and cook. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 19th at First Wesleyan Church officiated by Rev. Scott Wheeler and her son, Rev. Ronald Lee. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Friday at Whitley's Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband, Larry Lee, two children, Danette Pierce and Ronald Lee, four grandchildren, Andrew Pierce, Stephanie Sprague, Nathan Lee and Jacob Lee, three great-grandchildren, Caleb Pierce, Alyssa Pierce and Veda Lane, her sister, Janet Griffin and her brother, Bobby Griffin.
