Obituary: Margaret Cauble McFalls, age 90, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Five Oaks Manor, Concord, NC after four and half months of declining health. She was born September 17, 1925 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Jacob Cauble and Esther Brady Cauble. Margaret worked for the former Cannon Mills Company, Plant One, Sewing Room for many years until her retirement. Later, also worked at A.L. Brown High School in the cafeteria where she was known as the lady that baked cookies. Her hobbies included dancing on Friday nights at the senior centers in Concord & Kannapolis. She also made handmade baby quilts which she loved to give away to people. Margaret was a life-long member of Kannapolis Church of Christ, Kannapolis, NC where she worshipped as long as she was able. She was a wonderful mother to her two children, Mike McFalls and Pat Huneycutt, she was also a caring "MawMaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years, Charles M. McFalls, Jr. in 1985; and a grandson, Keith Edward Black in 2010. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Minister Kirk Sams. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of her son and his wife on Brantley Road the remainder of the time. Survivors include her son, Mike McFalls (Patsy) of Kannapolis, NC; her daughter, Pat Huneycutt (Jerry) of Kannapolis, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Alley (Natalie) Alley, Jennifer Stone (Rock), and Shawn McFalls (Samantha); great-grandchildren, Hunter Alley, Nicholas Alley, Nicole Alley Luke Stone, Banks Stone, and Kyleigh McFalls; one brother, Rufus Cauble of Kannapolis, NC; and three sisters, Janette Seymour, Mary Ella Hammonds, and Betty Hubbard, all of Kannapolis, NC. The family would like to thank Dr. Hall, the nurses, and staff of Five Oaks Manor for their excellent care and attention that was given to her since January 14, 2016.
