Margaret Dayvault Mcinnis

Obituary: Margaret Dayvault Tillman McInnis, age 83, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Big Elm Nursing Center, Kannapolis, NC after a period of declining health. She was born March 23, 1926 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late Gilbert W. Dayvault and Essie Hill Dayvault. She was as lifetime resident of the area. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She held her church membership at Liberty Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC. She was thought of by her family as a kind & loving person and enjoyed the company of her great-niece and great-nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her 1st husband, John W. Tillman in 1965 and her 2nd husband, John W. McInnis in 1992. The funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Benny Burgess. Burial will be at a later date at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include her niece, Pat Broome of Kannapolis, NC; her great-niece, Tammy Lewis & husband, Todd of Kannapolis, NC; her great-great-niece, Courtney Mann; two great-great-nephews, Alex Lewis and Blake Edward Lewis; and her sister-in-law, Annie Dayvault of Kannapolis, NC.
