Margaret Olean Miles

Obituary: Margaret "Olean" Miles, 97, of Waxhaw passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Private services will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home. Olean was born May 16, 1918 in Iredell Co., a daughter of the late Lee Roy and Carrie Eidson Crawford. She was a member of New Sterling ARP Church of Stony Point. Olean was a loving homemaker and devoted family person. She lived on 9 acres of wooded land and kept several well-loved gardens. In addition to her parents, Olean was preceded in death by her husband Kyle Miles and her 5 sisters and 1 brother. Those left to cherish memories of her include her 2 daughters; Paige Helms and husband, Wayne Cook of Kannapolis and Cindy Miles and husband, Bryn Thomas of Portland, OR. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Carrie Helms and Angie Hicks and her great-grandchildren, Joseph, Emily and McKenzie.
