Margaret Barnhardt Rowe

Obituary: Concord - Margaret Barnhardt Rowe, age 82, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC after a year of declining health. She was born September 29, 1926 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Jacob R. Barnhardt and Myrtle Keeter Barnhardt. In earlier years she worked at the former Cannon Mills Company, Plt.#6 Finishing Dept. for several years. She also worked at the former Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping dept. for a period of time. Then spent the rest of her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith. In earlier years she enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd N. Rowe, October 20 , 2005 and a brother, Jacob Barnhardt, Jr. The funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Friday, May 15, 2009 in Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Randy J. Mauldin. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Cathy Heglar, the remainder of the time. Survivors include two sons, Duane M. Rowe & wife, Susan of Concord, NC and Don E. Rowe & wife, Debbie of Indian Trail, NC; one daughter, Cathy Heglar & husband, Dale of Concord, NC; four grandchildren, Lisa R. Young & husband, Shane, Greta R. Mauldin & husband, Randy, Jeffrey D. Heglar, and Jason S. Rowe & wife, Deana; two great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn Rowe and Sydni Mauldin; three sisters, Iris Poteat, Clarice Poole, and Becky Gheen, all of Kannapolis, NC.
