Margaret Tanner Sechler

Obituary: Margaret Tanner Sechler, 83 of China Grove, NC died at CMC-NorthEast in Concord on Monday, October 15, 2012. Margaret was born on February 28, 1929 in Maysville, GA, the daughter of the late William P. Tanner and the late Ida Morris Tanner. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Charles Steven Sechler and her brothers and sisters. Margaret retired in 1993 from the former Fieldcrest Cannon Company where she worked as an instructor in the Towel Department at Plant 1. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles "Bud" Sechler of the home; a daughter, Tonya S. Sossoman of China Grove; 6 grandchildren, James Steven Sechler, Charles Steven Sechler, Jr., Ashley Sechler, Melissa Sechler, Charity Harris and Jason Sossoman; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a daughter - in - law, June Ann Sechler. The funeral service for Mrs. Sechler will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Kannapolis conducted by Rev. Steve Sexton. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m., Wednesday night at Whitley's Funeral Home.
