Obituary: Landis- Margie Stewart Kincaid, 94, passed away Friday morning, December 28, 2018, at Tucker Hospice House. Born January 12, 1924, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Lynn Ferrell Stewart. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Ralph Y. Kincaid, Jr., a sister and 2 brothers. Mrs. Kincaid retired from the US post Office, serving as a clerk for Landis and Davidson, NC. Earlier in life, Margie had worked 35 years for Durham Real Estate and Water Company. Mrs. Kincaid was a longtime, loyal member of Jackson Park Baptist Church, where she devotedly served as a Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mrs. Kincaid enjoyed being with her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family members left with loving memories include her daughters, Sharon Brothers (Doug), and Beth Lett (Wayne); her sister, Helen Sides; grandchildren, Shelley Farris and fiance Kyle Bilafer, and Brad Brothers; great granddaughter, Ava Farris; much loved special friends, Frank and Janice Roscoe, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:00 pm Sunday, December 30th at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Kincaid will begin at 4:00 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Rev. J.R. Beaver. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Kincaid's name to Jackson Park Baptist Church, 1005 Jackson Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
