Margie Mills Lewis

Obituary: Margie Mills Lewis, 83 of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Glenn A. Kizer Hospice House following a brief illness. She was born October 3, 1930 in Chesterfield County, SC to the late Lester Lee Mills and Carrie Jackson Mills. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey A. Lewis on April 6, 1993, and two brothers Robert Leroy and Marion Kelly Mills. Margie was of the Baptist Faith. She retired from Cannon Mills Plt. #4 following many years of service. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jamie Conner of Sharon, SC, and Rhonda Dillard (Joey) of Concord, two brothers, L.J. Mills (Kaye) of Charlotte and C.L. Mills (Lora) of Rockwell, one sister Brenda Brinson (Johnny) of Rockwell and three grandsons, Kenny, Nicholas and Mason. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Phred Causey. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Sunday prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, 1229 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury, NC 28144.
