Obituary: Margie Estelle Coone Moore, age 78, of Kannapolis passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Moore was born February 4, 1939 in Cabarrus County the daughter of the late Floyd Elliot Coone and Carrie Estall Byrd Coone. She worked as a nursing assistant for many years. Margie was a member of Truth Temple. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents are her husband Jack Franklin Moore, Sr. who died October 4, 2006; brother Floyd Elliott Coone, Jr., and sister Brenda Coone. Those left to cherish her memories are her children Jack Moore, Jr. (Cathy) of Kannapolis, Hue Moore (Patti) of Mt. Pleasant, Teresa Norris of Locust, Melvin Moore (Nancy) of Kannapolis, Mechelle Nava-Lopez (Tony) of Kannapolis and Beth Moore of Kannapolis; sisters Lillie Edwards and Evelyn Roseman; brothers Melvin Coone (Sheryan), Paul Coone, David Coone and Jimmy Coone; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Reba Louise. Visitation: 6-8:00 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Service 1:00 PM Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Whitley's Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Garland Faw with burial to follow at Westlawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Memorials: National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
