Margo Kennerly

Obituary: Margo Butler Kennerly, 73, passed away July 14, 2017 at CHS-Northeast surrounded by her family. Born June 11, 1944 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of Horace "H.R." and Margaret Butler. Margo retired from the Kannapolis City School System after more than 30 years of service with Fred L. Wilson Elementary School. She graduated from A. L. Brown High School and attended David Lipscomb College. She was a devoted mother and member of the Kannapolis Church of Christ. Margo is survived by her 4 children, Mary Margaret Kennerly Correll and husband Kelly of Kannapolis, Britton Kennerly and wife Debbie of Kannapolis, Brian Kennerly and wife Jenny of Kannapolis, Shannon Airheart and husband John of Concord. She was the Memaw of 9 grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Whitley's Funeral Home on Sunday, July 16th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Funeral Services to remember and celebrate Margo's life will be held at Kannapolis Church of Christ Monday July 17 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Kannapolis Church of Christ or Carolina Bible Camp in Mocksville, NC.
