Marie Moore

Obituary: Marie Moore died on April 21, 2013 in Concord, NC. She was born on June 19, 1916, the daughter of John Wesley and Mary Elizabeth Rogers of Rowan County. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Yates T. Moore of Kannapolis, NC. She was also pre-deceased by three brothers and five sisters. Marie worked in the Set Department of Cannon Mills Plant 1 in Kannapolis for many years prior to her retirement. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Kannapolis for about 90 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, attended Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years. Marie is survived by her son, Tom Moore, of Concord, son Keith Moore and wife Betsy, of Concord, granddaughter Laura Moore Smith and husband Greg of China Grove, and granddaughter Susan Moore Petty and husband Chris of Huntersville. Marie is also survived by seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 416 East First Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083 on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the church parlor, followed by the funeral in the Sanctuary at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.

Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday April 24, 2013 at Trinity U. Meth. Church.

Interment: Carolina Memorial Park.
