Obituary: Marilyn A. Potosky (Gruszka) Salisbury, NC Marilyn Potosky, age 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Helen Gruszka; one brother, Victor Gruszka; one brother-in-law, Jerry Potosky. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Frank; one daughter Mary (Bradley) Swartz of Kannapolis; three grandchildren: Jessica Potosky, Zachery Swartz, and Jaclyn Swartz all of Kannapolis; brother, Gerald (Karen) Gruszka of Henderson, NV; Sister-in-laws: Helen Gruszka of Lowell, IN and Kathy Potosky of Hobart, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salisbury, NC by Father Benjamin Roberts. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30-3:30 before the service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Marilyn was born in East Chicago, IN where she spent over 50 years of her life. She retired from Universal Metal Company in 2000 and moved to North Carolina to be closer to her beloved grandchildren. She always enjoyed having the many family & friends come to their Hammond, IN home. She loved to bowl and was a lifetime member of P.R.C.U.A in Chicago, IL. A special "Thank You" to the staff of the Batte Cancer Clinic and Hospice of North Carolina for their devoted care and compassion shown.
