Marilyn Waller

Obituary: Marilyn D. Waller, 72, of Kannapolis, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Bob & Carolyn Tucker Hospice House following an extended illness. Mrs. Waller was born on August 15, 1939 in Cabarrus county, a daughter of the late Joseph Michael Cleo and Fannie Ruth Phelps Drake. Funeral services for Mrs. Waller will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 2:30 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home main chapel with Rev. Clyde Hawkins, Rev. Willie Rash, and her grandson Noah Covington officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of Ray and Claire Waller. She was a member of Centerview Baptist Church and was formerly employed as a nurse at Cabarrus Hospital. Mrs. Waller is survived by her husband, Bobby G. Waller, a son Brian Waller (Cynthia) of Kannapolis, a daughter, Dale Waller Covington of Kannapolis, 3 brothers, Clark Drake (Gloria) of Bakersfield, Reggie Drake (Dale) of Tryon, and Don Drake of Kannapolis, 3 grandchildren, Noah Covington (Nataly) of Locust, Jace Waller (Melissa) of Virginia Beach, VA., and Adael Pierce (Andrew) of St. Marys, GA., and 6 great grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be made to Bob & Carolyn Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
