Obituary: Marjorie M. Beaver, 91 of Kannapolis, NC died April 9, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Marjorie was born on June 3, 1925 in Superior, WI, a daughter of the late Johann Mattson and Sofia Abrahamson Mattson who were Swedish immigrants from Finland. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Wesley Monroe Beaver in 2004 and eleven siblings. Marjorie co-owned Nottingham Beauty Shop in Superior, WI. She later retired from Fieldcrest Cannon. She enjoyed reading and writing stories, letters, poetry, and baking. She loved spending time telling stories of her childhood to her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by a son, Anthony W. Beaver of Kannapolis, three daughters; Alison Dancy (Kenneth), Michele R. Beaver both of Kannapolis, and, Susan B. Sides (Bobby) of Concord. Nine grandchildren; Ashley (Carl), Brandon (Cristen), Alexander, Kasey, Jessica, Corey, Andrew, Betty (Mark) and Terra (Brandon), seven great-grandchildren; Victoria, Gabriel, Corbin, Charlie, Luke, Renesmee and Greyson. The service for Mrs. Beaver will take place at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 13th at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church conducted by Dr. Ronald Haithcock and Rev. Steve Beam. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Whitley's Funeral Home and also 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 12, 2017 Whitley's Funeral Home. She will lie-in-state 30 mins. before the service at the church.

Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday April 13, 2017 North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church.

Interment: West Lawn Memorial Park China Grove, North Carolina.
