Obituary: Mark Dwayne Reece, 52, of Trinity, N.C. passed away April 28, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born March 31, 1965 in Cabarrus County to Bobby Reece, Sr. and the late Martha Ann Hager Reece. Mark had worked in the trucking industry. He was a great musician and enjoyed meeting people and trying to make their lives better. Mark was a great artist, not only could he design and paint murals, he could design and carve things in wood. Mark was the kind of person that could wrap you up in his big personality and charisma and make you feel like the most important person alive. He had a huge heart and a love for people. He always wanted people to know how talented and special they were. Mark was a very intelligent man who if he set his mind to do something could accomplish anything. Even though he was a talented artist and phenomenal guitar player himself, he always took compliments on his abilities humbly and was gracious about his amazing gifts. He had a great sense of humor and would light up a room when he entered it. Mark Reece was a son, brother, friend and uncle and loved everyone in that category but also loved strangers that he would meet. Mark was truly a bright light in this world that dimmed too soon. The people that he met that knew him well or only met him once will forever be changed by the beauty and light that he shone. He will forever be missed. Mark is survived by his father, Bobby Reece, Sr. of Landis, N.C. along with two brothers, Bobby Reece, Jr. of Landis, N.C. and Chris Reece and wife, Tamisha of Rockwell, N.C., two nephews and a very special fried, Mary Burnette. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. The Reece Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Committal and burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, N.C.
