Obituary: Mark Anthony Robinette, 54, of Kannapolis passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House. Born April 30, 1962 in Cabarrus County, Mark was the son of Jewell Biggers Robinette of Kannapolis and the late William Edward Robinette. In addition to his father, preceding him in death were his grandparents Wade and Mary Lee Biggers, and John and Dollie Robinette. In addition to his mother, family members left with cherished memories include his daughter Sarah Robinette; his sister Robin Presson (Scott);niece Lauren Presson, his aunt and uncle Colleen and Leonard Wilhelm, all of Kannapolis; and a number of cousins,nieces and nephews, all who held a very special place in his heart. Mark also leaves his childhood and lifelong friend, Kenny Barnes, also of Kannapolis. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR racing. He shared his love of sports with his late father and was an avid Carolina Tarheels and Atlanta Braves fan. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 2nd from 2:00-3:30 at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Mark's life will begin at 3:30 in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Rev. Mike Hubbard. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brookdale Baptist Church, 2511 South Ridge Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
