Mark Luke Walter

Mark Luke Walter, 63, of Concord, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Mark was born on June 28, 1959 in Baltimore County Maryland. He was a cherished son of the late Ira Luke Walter and Mary Cornelia Brown Walter.

Mark was a member of McGill Baptist Church. He had a wonderful singing voice and enjoyed singing at church and with his mother. Mark had a passion for the outdoors and loved fishing and gardening. He had a kind personality and a sense of humor that could keep his family laughing.

Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Daniel Walter (Ann), Rebecca Tatem (Paul), Miriam Dixon (Charles), John Walter (Ginger) and numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-3:00pm Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis with Dr. Steve Ayers officiating.
