Marvin E. Overcash

Obituary: Marvin Estus Overcash, 78, of Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at The Brian Center in Concord following a period of declining health. Mr. Overcash was born on June 24, 1934 in Rowan County, a son of the late Britton P. and Grace Keller Overcash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Smith Overcash who died September 27, 1912. He was retired from Cannon Mills after 39 Years of service where he was an oiler. Mr. Overcash was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kannapolis. He is survived by 2 brothers, Leon Overcash of Kannapolis and Glenn Overcash of Highpoint and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday June 22, 2013 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Bill Fulcher officiating. Whitley's Funeral Home is assisting the Overcash family.
