Obituary: Mary Louise Donovan Carpenter, 91, of Concord, formerly of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Brookdale Nursing Center in Concord following a period of declining health. She was born July 10, 1924 in Essex Co., Mass. a daughter of the late Leo and Helen Charlette Donovan. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Leo, Jim, Jack and Bill Donovan. Mary was of the Catholic Faith. She was a homemaker who enjoyed golfing and crossword puzzles as long as her health permitted. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Earl Thomas Carpenter, one son, Ron Johnson and wife Maryann of Scotia, N.Y., one daughter, Linda Przybylowizz of Hagaman, N.Y., step-son, Clint Carpenter and Louise Roseberry of Salisbury, two grandchildren, David Johnson and wife Kristen, and Tom Johnson. She is also survived by three great grandchildren and a sister, Helen Cotton of Pensacola, Fla. Graveside Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 11:00-12:00 prior to the graveside service.
