Obituary: Mary Louise Carpenter Clontz, 95 of Concord, NC died at Five Oaks Retirement Center on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015. Louise was born on Nov. 9, 1919 in Richmond Co., NC the daughter of the late Robert Carpenter and the late Minnie Carter Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Clontz. Louise had been a member of Parkwood Baptist Ch. for many years and was very active in many church activities including serving as a greeter and helped to raise funds for Hospice ministry. She retired from the former Cannon Mills Co. in 1985 where she worked as a spinner. Survivors include her 2 daughters; Debbie Sellers (Lin) of Concord and Billie Honeycutt (Paul) of Landis; 4 grandchildren; Dina Wagner, Jeff Honeycutt, Jessica Sellers and Lindsay Pizzuti, a great-granddaughter, Hannah Wagner and a sister, Jean Carter of Hamlet, NC A memorial service for Mrs. Clontz will take place Sunday at 4:00 p.m., at Charity Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mike Waters and Rev. Ron Bushey and Rev. Marty Payton. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 before the service at the church.
