Obituary: Kannapolis, NC-Mary Dunn Dehlin, age 91, a native of Charlotte, NC, died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Transitional Health Services, Kannapolis, NC after four years of declining health. She was born May 16, 1921 in Mecklenburg County, NC, the daughter of the late Robert Fred and Ella Kelly Dunn. Mary was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, NC where she was active in many ministries. She particularly loved serving with the Presbyterian Woman. She will be remembered by family and friends for her strong faith in the Lord, her love of family, and the ever-present smile on her face! She was employed by Arzberger Engravers, Inc. for more than 40 years. Mary proudly served in the US Army during World War II, where she met and married her husband in the South Pacific. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Eric C. Dehlin; brothers, R. Fred, Jr., Joe, and Jack Dunn; and a sister, Catherine Bolton. Mary's Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 101 Colville Road, Charlotte, NC officiated by Rev. Trevor Smith. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC with military rites conducted by the US Army National Guard. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Survivors include her son, Ed Dehlin and wife, Anne, of Kannapolis, NC; two daughters, Sherrie Dehlin of Charlotte, NC and Deborah Sealey and husband, Richard, of Pace, FL; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; two sisters, Carolyn White and husband, Murray of High Point, NC, and Peggy Thornton and husband, Jack, of Summerville, NC; a special cousin, Vivian Alston of Ft.
