Obituary: Mary Jane Hurst, 68, of Concord passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Bob & Carolyn Tucker House following a period of declining health. Ms. Hurst was born on June 25, 1944 in Bluefield, W.VA. the daughter of the late Ovel Lee Hurst and Helen Martina Hurst Cooper. A funeral service for Ms. Hurst will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Pastor Ken Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel. Ms. Hurst was owner and operator of Margaret's Grill for 25 years and most recently employed by Cabarrus Country Club. She is survived by her spouse, J.W. McManus Jr. of the home, a son Mark Dale Pack and wife Tammy of China Grove, a daughter, Lisa Pack Solomon and husband Mike of Kannapolis, a brother, Ronnie Lee Hurst and wife Patsy of Norwood, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
