Mary Imogene Crainshaw Adams, 92 years old, of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 7, 2022. Imogene was born on March 15, 1930 in Rowan County to the late Henry C. and Mary I. Overcash Crainshaw.
Imogene was a previous member of Bethpage Presbyterian Church and is a current member of Bethpage United Methodist Church. Imogene loved to care for people and the majority of her career, she operated a home child care business, then went to work at Cannon Mills, Plant 4 for a couple years before retiring. Imogene loved to square dance, sing, play piano or the organ and travel with her family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Edward Adams; her daughter, Harriet Elizabeth Yates; her son-in-law, Wayne Yates and her brothers, Frank and Bob Crainshaw. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jimmy C. Adams and his wife Gay, her grandsons, Jason Adams and Adam Jordan (Rahshun); her great granddaughter, Alexis Parson-Adams; her bonus great granddaughter, Kelly Russ Miller; and her nieces, Barbara Harrelson and Cindy Sherrill.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 1-2pm at Bethpage United Methodist Church, 109 Fellowship Ave, Kannapolis with a funeral serviced to begin at 2pm. Interment will follow in Bethpage Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Imogene’s memory to Bethpage United Methodist Church.
