Mary Horne Kirby

Obituary: Mary Bertha Horne Kirby, 78, of China Grove passed away on April 1, 2013. She was born December 17, 1934 in Union County, the daughter of the late Clifton and Pauline Stegall Horne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lorain Kirby. She retired from China Grove Yarn Mill after 24 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel officiated by Rev. Johnny Morgan. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM prior at Whitley's Annex Chapel. She is survived by three sons; Dewey Horne (Cathy) of Kannapolis, Fred Kirby (Debbie) of Kannapolis and Gene Edward Kirby of China Grove, grandchildren: Chase Kirby (Julianna), Gidget Horne, Tonya H. Sykes (Roy), Tabitha H. Eakin, Jeremy Horne, Caleb Horne, four great grandchildren: Alex and Ivey Eakin and Tiffany and Brandon Horne.
