Mary Long Adams

Obituary: Mary Long Adams, 79, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at CHS-Northeast Medical Center following a period of declining health. Born September 13, 1938 in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Adams was a daughter of the late William Henry and Pearl Keller Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin E. Adams. Mary was a 1956 graduate of A.L. Brown High and had retired from the Salisbury Rowan School System. She loved her family and especially enjoyed loving on and taking care of her grandchildren. Mrs. Adams will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family members include her children, Jeff Morris, Janice Lambert (Tim), Julie Willis (Wesley) and Jason Adams (Jennifer); 8 grandchildren; her brother, William Long and a sister, Emalee Klomp. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm Wednesday, January 31st at Franklin Baptist Church, 3810 US 601, Salisbury, NC. Services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Adams will begin at 3:00 pm in the church, conducted by the Rev. Joe Thomas, Pastor.
