Obituary: Margaret Rebecca Meacham, 67, of 2702 Brady Avenue, Kannapolis, formerly of Rainbow Drive, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at her residence following a period of declining health. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 2, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Joel Ervin. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of her sister, Peggy Hudson Butler, 168 Ashmont Drive, Kannapolis. She was born June 23, 1941 in Rowan County, NC. a daughter of the late Harold Royce Meacham, Sr. and the late Daisy Mae Brewer Meacham. She was employed as a managerial secretary for Prudential Insurance Company in Charlotte until her retirement in l971. She later worked at South Trust and First Charter Banks until her retirement due to ill health. She was an avid animal lover and an avid bowler. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles and loved music. She is survived by one Sister: Peggy Hudson Butler of Kannapolis, one Brother: Harold R. Meacham, Jr. of The Villages, Fla.
