Mary Bess (Cochran) Raposa

Mary Bess Cochran Raposa, 82, of Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday morning, March 2, 2022, at Atrium Health Cabarrus, following a period of declining health.

Born June 11, 1939, in Albuquerque, NM, she was the daughter of the late James Albert and Evelyn Adeline Gibbs Cochran. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard R. Raposa, and a son, Bill Raposa.

A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Mrs. Raposa loved her Lord, going to church and had attended Memorial Baptist Church for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Family members left to cherish her memory include her children, Debbie Weeks, Jerry Raposa (Phyllis) and Sharon Black; grandchildren; great grandchildren and extended family members.

Mrs. Raposa will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park, where services will be private.
