Obituary: Mary Katherine Cline Sain, 88, of Kannapolis died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast. She was born March 25, 1923 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Ray and Annie Cline. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Sain in 1993. She retired from Cannon Mills Co. Plant 1 Sheet Dept. after 36 years. She also retired from Weight Watchers after 32 years. She was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church where she had been a former church elder, Sunday school teacher and held various other church offices. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. William Van Wieren III.Burial will be at a later date at Iredell Memorial Park.She is survived by four daughters: Linda Van Wieren and Cindy Price both of Kannapolis, Patty Heilig of China Grove, Sue Pressley of Landis, a son Michael Sain of Walkertown, 7 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren, and her brother Ray Kenneth Cline Jr. of Salisbury.Memorials may be made to Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, 900 Klondale Ave., Kannapolis, NC 28081 or Hospice of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com
