Mary H. Seabolt

Obituary: Mary Euldine Harrelson Seabolt, age 90, went from her earthly home to her heavenly home on March 5, 2013 after a period of declining health. She was born December 9, 1922 in Laurens County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Lawton William Harrelson and Mary Elizabeth Clark Harrelson. She had made Kannapolis her home since January of 1953. Mrs. Seabolt was retired from Cannon Mills Company. She was a member of Skyland Baptist Church, Kannapolis, where she served in the Nursery and Beginner Departments and as an Adult Sunday School teacher until her health deteriorated. "Mawmaw" Seabolt was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will always be remembered for the Sunday dinners that she lovingly served her family for as long as she was able. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, D.M. Seabolt, who died August 27, 2004; a son, Joel Keith Seabolt; three brothers, and five sisters. Left to cherish her memory are a son, Ron Seabolt of Kannapolis; two daughters, Lynette Cannon (Tommy) of Kannapolis, and Sharon Thigpen (David) of China Grove, NC; four grandchildren, Justin Watts (Kassie), Melissa Watts Phelps, Nathan Cannon, and Joy Cannon; five great-grandchildren, Brooke, Alison, and Blake Phelps (father, Ed Phelps), Drake Watts, and Ian Cannon; and two special family friends, Fernando Jane' and Steve Pethel. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Dennis Morgan. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
