Mary L. Sewell

Obituary: Mary Lucille Sims Sewell, 92, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Best of Care Center. Lucille was born February 9, 1919 in Elk Creek, Virginia to the late Edward Preston and Buena Vista Corneth Sims. She retired from the State of Maryland and was a member of North Kannapolis Methodist Church. Survivors include a close friend and caregiver, Helen H. Beaver of Kannapolis; special friends, Kym and Tim Hubbard of Kannapolis, Garry M. Furr of Kannapolis, and Landon and Chandler Hubbard of Kannapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward Eugene Sims. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Carolina Memorial Park with the Rev.
