Mary Elaine (Jackson) Snow

Mary Elaine Jackson Snow, 84, of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Snow had been in declining health, but death was unexpected.

Born September 24, 1938, in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late John Anderson and Codie Jane West Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marshall Snow, in 1993.

Mary graduated from Crossnore High and retired from Cannon Mills after 39 years of loyal service. She was a member of Blackwelder Park Baptist Church and was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and devoted friend. Her positive presence and giving nature will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Loving family members include her son, Marty Snow (Amy), of China Grove; grandsons, Walker Snow and Weston Snow (Maggie); her step-grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Beaver; great-grandchildren, Ava, Jackson, Mason and Leona Snow, and one “soon to be” baby Snow.

The family would like to thank Tara Stanley, for the love, help and support she gave over the last years of Mary’s life, and to the much-valued friendships and daily visits from the Rowan County Meals on Wheels volunteers.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 pm Friday, December 16th at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and to celebrate Mary’s life will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Stan Welch.  Burial will follow the services at Carolina Memorial Park, where Mrs. Snow will be laid to rest beside her husband.
