Obituary: Mary Flowers Snyder age 92, of Kannapolis passed away March 9, 2015 after an extended illness. She was born September 4, 1922 in Madison County, Florida to the late Edwin Luther and Susie Scott Flowers. She was a member of Perry Church of Christ in Perry, Florida and worked most of her life as a dental assistant. She had moved to the Kannapolis area eight years ago to be with her daughter Patricia and son in law Bert. A funeral service will be held at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in Perry, Florida on Friday March 13, 2015 at 3:00 P.M., with Minister Jim Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in Wood Lawn Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday March 17, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Kannapolis Church of Christ, Kannapolis N.C. with Minister Kirk Sams officiating. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry Marshall Snyder, one daughter Betty Sue Streit, one sister Lela Mae Berry, three brothers John Flowers and Edwin Flowers, Gordon Flowers and one great-grand child Maci Caroline Putnal. Survivors include two daughters: Patricia Putnal and husband Bert of Kannapolis, N.C., Marsha Snyder Howard of Wesley Chapel, Florida, One sister Doris Stevenson of Nebraska, Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
