Mary "Frances" Kirkman Wiley

Obituary: Mary "Frances" Kirkman Love Wiley, 89, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord while at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House, after a period of declining health. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 3 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Friday, at other times the family will be gathered at the family home. Frances was born December 5, 1923 in China Grove, a daughter of the late George R. and Marium Worstell Kirkman. She was a lifelong area resident, graduate of Landis High School and member of Calvary Baptist Church. Frances was a bookkeeper for several local businesses, such as Montgomery Wards, Carolina Tire and Good Year Tire Co. She was also a consultant for Beauty Control for many years. Frances was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Frances was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Earl C. Love, who died in 1981 and her 5 brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 23 years, James M. Wiley of the family home, her daughters; Kim Sechler (Bobby) of China Grove and Teresa Beaver of Kannapolis, her grandchildren, Chris Sechler of Rockwell, Craig Sechler (Nikki) of China and Jeremy Beaver of Harrisburg, 3 great-grandchildren Tyler and Isaiah Sechler and Jordan Baker. She is also survived by 4 step-children; Ronald Wiley, Sue Wiley, Bonnie Logan and Ameta Starkey, 4 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren and special caregiver, Linda Brooks.
