Mary (Dee) Deloris (Harrington) Bost

Mary Deloris “Dee” Harrington Bost, 74, of China Grove passed away on February 13, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Funeral services for Dee will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Homestead Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mitch Thomas and Jon Hicks. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends prior from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the church.

Dee was born November 3, 1947 in Union County, a daughter of the late Robert “Rabbit” Harrington and Mary Cooper Harrington. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herb Nab, sister, Barbara “Bobbie” Durham, brothers, Robert “Boobie” Harrington and Tommy Harrington.

Dee worked in NASCAR, was a homemaker and before retirement worked at Hallmark Tax Service in Kannapolis. She loved spending time with and taking care of her family. Though Dee never had children of her own she found joy in being Aunt Dee and Maw Dee to her many nieces, nephews, and their children. She loved her family fiercely. Dee was a lifelong area resident and a charter member of Homestead Baptist Church in Kannapolis.

Those left to cherish Dee’s memories included her loving husband of 28 years, Oscar Daniel “Dan” Bost, brother, Charles Harrington (Gail) and sister, Nancy Clark. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Wendy Brown, Tonya Hicks, Kelly Durham, Crystal Barringer, Audy Harrington, Phil Harrington, Larry Harrington, Robin Ewing, Wayne Harrington, Eric Harrington, Rodney Harrington, Mica Thomas and Natalie Amburn.
