Mary Frances Ward, 82, of Greensboro, NC unexpectedly passed away on December 19, 2022.
She was born on May 5th, 1940 to Donald Wyatt Sr and Grace Bowlin Wyatt in Wilkes County.
Mary Frances is survived by her husband James Ward; brothers John Wyatt (Barbara), Donald Wyatt Jr (Jane), and Tommy Wyatt; sisters Sandra Little (Darrel), Martha Clayton (Kenneth), Carolyn Crowell (David); her daughter Karen Millisor (Chuck); grandchildren Jenny Ferguson (Tyler) and Matt Millisor (Britney); plus her 3 great grandchildren, Parker, Payton, and Jackson. Mary was preceded in death by sister Patricia Wyatt Milstead and Sister-In-Law Christy Cromer Wyatt.
She graduated from A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis and attended Kings Business School in Concord. She proudly worked in the corporate office of Fieldcrest Cannon Mills for 43 years and later Lakewood Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Mary Frances wed the love her life, James Ward, on July 4th, 1959. For the next 63 years they enjoyed camping with friends all over the east coast. After they both retired from Cannon Mills, they lived in Myrtle Beach for 16 years before moving to Greensboro to be closer to family.
As the oldest of 8 children, Mary Frances was always a loving support for all of her family. She shared a special bond with her daughter Karen, who will miss her infectious laugh and unwavering desire to make sure everyone felt loved. She cherished being "Tootie" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and could not get enough of their little snuggles.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 23rd, 2022 at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Visitation will begin one hour prior from 1-2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery.
