Obituary: Matthew Thomas Durham, 46, of Rockwell went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 1, 2014. Death was unexpected. He was born July 30, 1968 in Hamden County, Ma. Son of Ann Mary Desabrais Robinson of Kannapolis and the late Thomas Edward Durham, Sr. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Kannapolis. Matthew was a carpenter in the home construction business before becoming disabled. He loved to fish, work in his garden, spending time with his daughters and any type of building. Memorials service will be 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Memorial Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim McQueen. Survivors in addition to his mother include three daughter; Nicole Faye Pennell (Mark)l of Troutman, Lori Beth Durham and Mary Katherine "Katie" Durham both of Rockwell, two brothers, Mark Edward Durham of the home and Thomas Edward Durham, Jr. He is also survived by three sisters, Kathy Ann Francis and Carolyn Ann Price both of Kannapolis and Ann Rene 'e Johnson of Ohio.
