Maude Marlow Williams

Obituary: Concord, NC- Maude Marlow Williams, age 75, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at The Oaks at Town Centre, Harrisburg, NC after a period of declining health. She was born January 22, 1938 in Maiden, NC, the daughter of the late Shuford James Marlow and Ola Mae Roach Marlow. Maude was a 1955 graduate of Winecoff High School, Concord, NC. In earlier years she worked for Douglas Aircraft of Charlotte for many years and later as a homemaker. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC. She is fondly remembered by her family for her gardening and love of the outdoors as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Bud) Williams; and two sisters, Virginia Morgan and Elizabeth Hatley. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:30 P.M. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Curtis Parker. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include her son, Thomas R. Castor of Concord, NC; three grandchildren, Katee Bost & husband, Wesley of Harrisburg, NC, Cameron Castor & his fiancée, Sherrie Smith of Concord, NC, and Nycole Castor of Kannapolis, NC; three great-grandchildren, Landon Castor, Lily Castor, and Lucas Bost; one sister, Doris Barbee of Stanfield, NC; two brothers, James Marlow of Fayetteville, NC and David Marlow of Concord, NC.
