Obituary: May (Belle) Beaver Kluttz, 88, of Salisbury, formerly of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born August 27, 1925 in Rowan County, NC a daughter of the late William Jeremiah and Lula Pearl Stirewalt Beaver. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Cansler "Turk" Kluttz. Mrs. Kluttz was an active member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Concord as long as her health permitted. In early life she was employed at Cannon Mills Plant #1, spinning room. She later was a homemaker. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Ron Hughes. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Survivors include a son, Hoy (Claudine) Kluttz of Kannapolis, a daughter, Shelia (Terry) Peeler of Kannapolis, two sisters: Catherine Funderburk and Pearl Hampton both of Rockwell, one brother, James (Vernice) Beaver of Salisbury, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
