Obituary: Mazie Elizabeth Beam Crisco, 90, of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House following a brief illness. She was born May 20, 1923 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late DeWitt Mars and Willie Mae Gill Beam. Mazie attended Broadus Baptist Church. During her life she had been employed with Cannon Mills, Plt. #1, later at Randolph Mill and later at Terry Products. Her family was always the main focus of her love. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to do embroidery, kitchen crafts, working in the yard and playing bingo. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Broadus Baptist Church conducted by Dr. J. Rodney Quesenberry, pastor. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the home of a daughter, Millie Cook of Concord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bud" Crisco in 1996 and two brothers, Robert and Allan Beam. Survivors include her son, Ronnie Dean Crisco, Sr. and companion Patty Blackwelder of Salisbury, four daughters, Millie Cook (the late Roy B. Cook) of Concord, Rebecca Kimberlin (Bill) of Kannpolis, Martha Pless (the late Parks Pless) of China Grove and Barbara Palmer (Stan) of Concord. She is also survived by a brother, Hansel Beam of Kannapolis and a loving ex-daughter in law, Mary Ann Crisco, thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
