Mebane "Red" Fink

Obituary: Mebane J. Fink, known to family and friends as "Red", died on March 24, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Red was born March 6, 1935 in Statesville NC, a son of the late James Monroe Fink and Mary Lackey Fink. Red lived most of his life in Kannapolis before returning to Statesville for his final years. Red was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Plott Fink; by his son, Dennis L. Fink; by brothers Billy M. Fink, James Carl Fink, Robert L. Fink; and by sisters Katherine Harris and Janie Johnson. He is survived by three sisters, Betty F. Williams of Kingsley MI; Mary Elizabeth Morrow of Statesville; Revonda Hager of Statesville; and a brother-in-law, Thomas W. Johnson (Janie) of Statesville. Red will be forever remembered also by his many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. A visitation to remember Red will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 27 at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis NC. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
