Obituary: Megan McWilliams Will, 88, of Kannapolis, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at Big Elm Nursing Center. She had formerly lived in the Blacksburg and Narrows, Va. area for most of her life. She was born December 28, 1921 in Lansford, Pa., the daughter of the late Walter Douglas Hobson and Blodwen Davis Lewis Hobson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Gunn Shepherd, E.D. McWilliams and R.K. Will. She was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary Prep school and Edgewood Park College. She owned/operated radio station WNRV in Narrows-Pearisburg, Va. for 30 years from 1960-90. She was an avid golfer and also enjoyed a good hand of bridge. A memorial service will be held Tuesday October 12, 10:30 a.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, VA. She is survived by her daughter Bronwyn S. Christianson (Jim) of High Point, NC, two grandchildren Bryn Christianson Rose (John) of Davidson, NC, and Peter Robert Shepherd Christianson (Kïrsten) of Hugo, Minn., three great-grandchildren: John Christianson Rose, Megan Elizabeth Rose and Thaddeus Evan Woodrow Christianson.
