Melanie "Mel" (Bost) Wells

Melanie “Mel” Bost Wells, 72, of Kannapolis died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, February 11, 2022. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 15.

Melanie was born March 20, 1949 in Cabarrus Co., a daughter of the late Oscar Bost, Sr. and Alma Wood Bost. In addition to her parents, Mel was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Wells.

A lifelong area resident, Mel was a graduate of AL Brown Highschool, Class of 1966. She worked for various local Mills as a sewer. Mel was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She will be dearly missed.

Mel is survived by her two sons, Ron Stamey of Kannapolis and Richard Stamey (Nikki) of Salisbury, her 4 grandchildren, Logan Stamey, Lauren Kesler, Megan Kesler and Noah Stamey, her two brothers; Brian Bost of Kannapolis, Daniel Bost (Dee) of Kannapolis; two sisters, Beth Wilkerson of Kannapolis and Jennie Brumley (Wayne) of Thomasville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
