Obituary: Melissa Diane Williams Langston 39, of Pikeville, NC passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Melissa was born on November 24, 1973 in Cabarrus County the daughter of Grady and Patsy Black of Harrisburg. She was a 1992 graduate of Central Cabarrus High School and was currently employed at the Brian Center of Goldsboro as an LPN. Melissa will be remembered as a kind, caring, and giving person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services for Melissa will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Chris O'Guin officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home. In addition to her parents, Melissa is survived by her husband, Toby of Pikeville, a son; Dillon Thomas of Concord, a daughter; Cara Thomas of Pikeville, a step-son; J.C. Langston and step-daughter Rebecca Langston both of Pikeville, her grandfather; Arda Honeycutt of Harrisburg, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.
